mit der GC32-Klasse kommt die aktuell modernste und schnellste Form des Regatta-Segelsports an den Traunsee. Egal ob
America´s Cup, X40 oder Nacra17, das Thema multihull boomt! Nach dem Launch in Dubai im November 2012 feiert die
GC32-Klasse beim Jubiläum der 10. Allianz Traunsee Woche ihre Premiere im Rahmen einer internationalen Regatta. Der
zwölf meter lange Flitzer kann bei idealen bedingungen rund 35 Knoten (65km/h) erreichen und aufgrund der Foil-Technik
können die GC32-Rennboote über das Wasser „fliegen“.
Für das AEZ GC 32 Sailing Team I mit Steuermann Andreas Hagara, Gerd Habermüller, Christian binder und Peter Steinkogler
gilt es am Traunsee Werbung in eigener Sache zu betreiben. Spätestens 2014 soll das österreichische Team eine fixe Größe
im GC32-Rennzirkus sein. Da auch junge Segler auf den GC32-Katamaranen Erfahrung sammeln sollen, wurde das AC Youth-
Team mit max Trippolt, Hanno Sohm, benedikt Höss und Alexander Deuring verpflichtet, die das AEZ GC 32 Sailing Team II
bilden. beide Crews werden das maximum aus den booten herausholen. Für AEZ geht das Engagement in dieser neuen boots-
klasse Hand in Hand mit ihrer Unternehmensphilosophie, „Die GC 32 ist eine sehr schnelle und wendige Klasse. Sehr ähnlich
zu unseren Produkten, sehen wir das Potenzial dieser boote und setzen auf dieses hochkarätige Team“, sagt Norbert Frohner,

WORLD PREMIERE FOR A NEW BOAT CLASS
The GC32 class, today‘s cutting-edge and fastest class of regatta sailing sport, is coming to Austria‘s Lake Traunsee. Be
it America‘s Cup, X40 or Nacra17, the multi-hull design is all the rage. After its launch in Dubai in November 2012, the
GC32 class will be celebrating its premiere at an international regatta at the 10th anniversary of the week-long Allianz
Traunsee Event. The twelve-metre boat can reach speeds of around 35 knots (65 km/h) under ideal conditions. Thanks to
their foil design, the GC32 racing boats can even „fly“ over the water.
For the AEZ GC 32 Sailing Team I with captain Andreas Hagara, Gerd Habermüller, Christian Binder and Peter Steinkogler,
the focus at Lake Traunsee will be on making the world sit up and take notice. The Austrian team is aiming to be a key play-
er in the GC32 regatta circuit by 2014 at the latest. Because younger sailors also need to gain experience on the GC32
catamaran, the AC Youth Team featuring Max Trippolt, Hanno Sohm, Benedikt Höss and Alexander Deuring were taken on
board as the AEZ GC 32 Sailing Team II. Both crews will certainly strive to deliver the maximum performance from their
boats. AEZ‘s involvement in this new boat class goes hand in hand with its company philosophy. „The GC 32 class features
very fast and extremely agile boats. Like our products, we have recognised the potential these boats have to offer and are
counting on our all-star team,“ said AEZ Leichtmetallräder Managing Director Norbert Frohner.
